I really think a stretch 5 is absolutely necessary for this team. When you have Randle, Brunson, and RJ out there who ALL like to attack the rim, it would make their lives easier to have open driving lanes and help with spacing. This summer, we could have EASILY sent Mitch, Fournier, and a few 2nd rounders to Washington in a sign and trade for Porzingis.

A lineup featuring:

PG: Jalen Brunson

SG: Quentin Grimes

SF: RJ Barrett

PF: Julius Randle

C: Kristaps Porzingis

Would have made this team look much more cohesive and provided better spacing. What do you guys think? Was it a fumble by not going after Porzingis?

KP literally only works in Boston bc he’s the 4th option. If we traded for him he’d be 2nd best player on a team that’s a worse version of us from last year
