Our team is fine and no one should overreact to one loss to a stacked team

But the fact remains that we can’t get to the next level unless we have a Stretch 5.

Porzingis camped the paint all day because Mrob has no offensive arsenal. Mrob got cooked on the perimeter and was a non factor on either the boards or rim protection.

We need a modern Center. KAT may be a terrible rim protector, but again Mrob didn’t offer anything in that department either today

I’ve been saying this shit for years and saying we need to move on from Mitch but people on this sub villified me for suggesting we should. And I advocated for bringing KP back and people bitched and moaned and I got all kinds of vitriol. Tonight finally showed wtf I’ve been screaming about. Finally some people have woken up

You can’t win with Kat at the 5? He’s a 4 at this point.

While it would be nice to have that, stretch fives are a luxury that most teams don’t have. KAT on the Knicks would be a disaster. Shun that man at all costs. In exchange for his offense, he will be an albatross on defense. He isn’t a good defender AND has no DESIRE to defend. Don’t be fooled by the 23 points and 11 boards he’s put up for his career. Numbers don’t tell the whole story. He’s good for Minnesota b/c everybody’s mistakes can be covered by Gobert, and who knows how long that will last? These Knicks are built to defend WILLINGLY. If there is a stretch 5 that is out there for the taking, he’s got to fit that mold of seeing defense as a necessity.
