Since you can never %100 balance the Aghanim’s Shard strength between heroes, I think the addition of Tormentor made meta a bit more stale. You picking a hero with weaker shard than others for support literally griefs the team. Let’s say one of the support is Mirana and the other is WD. You got the shard randomly and griefed your team just by picking Mirana. To me that is a huge design flaw because this way meta leans to picking supports with good shards and then this cascades to core pool meta because of the synergies. I guess you can fix this by splitting the shard cost to lowest 2 NW heroes. Just like Wisdom Rune.
I want to see your own tormentor give a different/better reward, but also an even better reward if you get both your own and the opponents. High ground is too strong atm. Maybe something like removing glyph for 2 minutes so you can siege with rosh and both tormentors taken. It proves you have map superiority and enemy unwilling to leave base and provides a logical reason to go high ground.
