Hello all I am a masters student and I am need to download ArcGIS through my institute

I am getting an error that reads:

ArcGIS Pro requires Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime (x64) 6.0 x, minimum 6. 0. 5. To download and install Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime, visit the Microsoft Website or contact your system administrator

now I went to the website and downloaded what they said and it’s still not working, IT takes forever to get back so posting here in hopes that I can find something out. Thanks
