So I finally got my zero red today, tried it on, its good. But the tip doesn’t go as deep as i thought, in fact it’s quite literally the same compared to my previous earbuds. Not that its bad or anything, but is it supposed to go that deep?

Some IEMs go deep deep, others fit much more shallow.
Some will go deep, like your previous XB55.
Some will go even deeper, like er2xr. That thing is ear dildo.But in general iem with bigger shell like zero won’t go as deep as IEMs mentioned above and eartips become more important to achieve good seal.
You’ll know if you have a good seal or a bad seal depending on how the bass sounds
If you are wondering “where’s the bass?” then it’s likely that you don’t have a good seal
Custom IEMs are the ones that go deeper in the ears.
