A lot of changes compared to the last year: Guadalajara downgraded to 500, Linz/Strasbourg/Monterrey/Seoul upgraded to 500, Dubai/Qatar now back to back 1000s, Wuhan returns as a 1000, Monterrey pushed from February to August, Merida pushed from February to October, San Diego moves up from September to February, Monastir moves up from October to September.

250s Cluj Napoca, Lyon, Warsaw and Lausanne all provisionally out of the schedule. There are two weeks with only a WTA 500, so I expect some to join them.

As someone who goes to DC every year for the tournament, I’m so curious to see who comes this year. We tend to get the leftovers of everyone who didn’t go to the Olympics and the fact that it’ll be on clay next year is probably going to change some minds
