I need to get me a hub. I make music on a laptop and the mess is growing!

I have a USB-C port on my computer. It’s on the left side. This would be a lot easier logistically if the hub is on the left. None of my devices are USB-C except for an external SSD I don’t regularly use.

And also, for any of you musicians out there, is it okay to plug my audio interface into a hub, or does it need to be a direction connection for latency, etc.?

Scenario: (If interested.) I make music on the laptop, but sometimes I like to sit at a cozy spot. But I have all my music equip. at my desk (like the interface, the large MIDI keyboard, etc. So plugging/unplugging everything 2x a day is crazy town.

I’ll also take any suggestions for how to set this up and how to make things flow better as well. Thank you!
