I still think teams would give up a mid to late first or a player of value for him. I think we should Forsure go maye over Caleb who is essentially the same player with a bigger mouth and ego… Bagent is not an nfl caliber player but it is bringing in a lot of publicity. Field’s agent would demand he plays because he’s playing for a contract. If the Bears decline his option he needs a new team and you’d rather get a starting QB role and salary opposed to a backup 1-2 year deal.
Bagent is a rookie QB, what do you expect? Honestly, he looked better then most other rookie QB’s from the past few drafts. Fields is obviously going to start next Sunday unless he suffers a massive drawback. He’s been throwing and fully participating in practice.
