I understand that most people would say that AMD is the way to go for Linux Gaming, but the latest NVIDIA Beta Drivers seem to have cleared up a lot of Wayland issues and may even support HDR.

So, which distro has the “easiest” NVIDIA implementation? I know Manjaro will install NVIDIA drivers out of the box, but it looks like updating those drivers, especially to Beta Drivers is a pain.

Are there any distros that offer both an easy initial install and update of NVIDIA Drivers?

This one would be a surprise for many, but at least for me it has been Ubuntu Mate. Since it doesn’t run on Wayland, it installs the latest Nvidia proprietary drivers (535) by default; if you check “proprietary drivers” on the installer.

You can do the minimal installation, check proprietary drivers drivers on the installer, and that’s it. Then the only thing left is to install Steam and start playing.
