It had the screen cable defect so I stuck it on a shelf because it was too expensive to fix. Now I want to hook it up to an external monitor, but it’s dead as a doornail. Can’t get it to charge at all. Aside from replacing the battery (difficult), is there anything I can try? No problem taking it apart if needed.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have another 70w charger, but the Pro charger works fine with my Macbook Air. I have tried multiple chargers - macbok Air, Anker backup battery, 36W charger. None of them made a difference.

How do I try without the battery? I can open it up and disconnect the battery cable easy enough.
