Anti-cheat will be likely your biggest complaint. The latest EA sports games are all anti-cheat that is incompatible with SteamOS. Most new FPS games also use non-working anti-cheat.
I would consider a different product if these games are the main ones you’ll want to play - or plan on running Windows on the Steam Deck (which - to me - is an indicator a different product may be for you).
