These comment are pretty ridiculous.
Firstly, the “average consumer” is not spending $200 on products they know nothing about let alone on gifts for other people
Secondly, it isn’t difficult to see the advantage this offers over attaching your phone to a duelsense controller. For one much larger screen than the average phone, much better weight distribution and form factor (I’m willing to bet those of you suggesting this have never actually done this), duelsense features not present in other controller attachments, and one of the most important is it doesn’t occupy your phone and kill the battery which for me is usually almost dead by the end of the work day
Yes it’s a niche device and Sony likely knows the exact amount of people that use remote play on a regular bases as they would have this data and this is a peripheral designed for them. Sometimes it’s okay for a company to make niche devices not meant for everyone
