I love the Last of Us and it’s easily my favorite series but I couldn’t stand anytime I came across a generator because I knew it would be immediate chaos the moment I turned it on with all that noise. The hotel basement in Part 1 stands out because I would always die and eventually I just abandoned the level and just ran straight for the exit without engaging anything of the infected.

    Just finished Alien Isolation for the first time. Absolutely love the game, but fuck: Headcrabs, the annoying robots, and quicktime events. I died more times in complete BS ways to the former two than I ever did the alien itself, and the quicktime events were just completely immersion breaking (no danger at all) in a game that was otherwise amazing.
