he came in and provided quality defense and a rebounding presence. which allowed the mavericks to get some stops at the end of the game. grant gives them a reliable 3 point threat and defender too, dallas is not an elite defense but they have enough guys who can get some stops.
For those of you feeling great about being dumb about not wanting to draft Lively – I remember listening to a post-draft podcast by drafting-oriented podcasters/experts (it might’ve been Upside Swings, not 100% sure), and these “experts” were just trashing the Mavs’ draft, I believe the grade they (multiple people!) gave the Mavs’ draft was a D or D-, lol.
