We really need to coach better and know when to put Rico vs pollard. Short yardage =rico every time. Shit even give the FB some love, don’t matter . Pollard is not the guy for the short yardage. And it seems to become more and more apparent that this line has been better at pass block rather than run block with the exception of Steele who has been seemingly shitting the bed on both ends.

The Cowboys are 11th in the league in RYPG. They aren’t dying out there by any means.

They are 7th in PYPG. Not a huge discrepancy.

    4th in TYPG.

    2nd in scoring.

We are essentially halfway through the season. I am not sure where the panic is coming from.

As far as I’m concerned, the only real blemish is the Arizona loss. The other two losses were on the road against two teams with a combined record of 14-4.

I like the fact Dak is running more. It’s a problem for the defenders. I wish they would make Hunter the short yard back. I think he could be that guy.

It seems like 80% of Pollard’s usage is to do a quick block between the LG and LT, then run about four yards in front of the line of scrimmage and wait for Dak to pass it to him.

    A) I have never once seen Dak actually pass it to him so what is the point of this usage

    B) Why is McCarthy having Pollard do these short plays that don’t develop if Dak is going to stand in the pocket for five seconds on every play

    C) Why is Pollard doing this at all instead of going to the outside where he was so successful last year

This is the exact same thing the Saints have been doing with Kamara but the difference is Carr passes to Kamara in that situation about ten times per game, usually in under two seconds.
