At the begining of 22/23 season, my hopes on Edwards development was related to a flaw he had. I’ve detected the other teams closed when going towards the rim, and he was being attacked on his ball bouncing. There were some turnovers related to that. To my surprise, I felt like very little development, and the issue stayed there. That (between other things) made his season a little dissapointing to me. I was hoping to be at the same level as SGA, and over Fox. He didn’t achieve it.

This year, nevertheless, it’s completely the opposite. Right now, what I’ve expected about him last year has arrived and his ball care is near flawless, but right now he is an “all arround” player. Last year, the poor FG% he had yesterday on first three quarters would mean a bad game. But now he’s able to dish some assists to his teammates, it’s more aware about whats arround him, and people like McDaniels or Gobert benefit of that new development. He carries the game.

Have you got the same sensation as me?
