Never been a part of a community that is so miserable lol. We should at least get some sort of recognition for it.
Believe it or not almost every teams sub is the same
We’re supposed to be tough and always root for the Raiders to succeed. But now people just argue and want to be right more than they want the Raiders to win.
Yes. The team performance justifies some of the negativity. Most of the time this group is overly emotional knee-jerk reactionaries. The Raiders would be down by 3 points and people raging in the comments that “the season is over!”
we have the worst head coach in the league. Are we all supposed to pretend we don’t and its rainbows and sunshine?
we’ve got a couple old heads in here that actually got to experience the raiders being good. the rest of us that grew up with reddit have known nothing but sadness forever. sure we have 3 super bowl wins, but the last time the raiders won a playoff game, i was in diapers.
let me tell you a story. 2021, week 18. chargers raiders. my brother and i are at a bar just hoping to god we bounce the chargers. still needed a couple other factors to make it to playoffs. when carlson drills that kick, i picked my brother up and ran around the bar with tears in my eyes because i was so happy we just made the playoffs. that’s the level of sadness we’ve dealt with our entire lives. no fucking shit things are negative here lol.
i love the raiders, will always love the raiders. but jesus christ have they been bad for my mental health my entire life. welcome to raider nation.
The Raiders never recovered as a franchise from the 51-3 beatdown at the hands of the Bills in the 91 AFC Championship game.
That one game buried the idea of the Raider Mystique FOREVER.
The Raiders had their identity physically beaten out of them, up and down the field, on a national stage that day.
They were embarrassed, dismantled and fucking shamed for 3 and a half hours.
And since then, they’ve never looked like a team who ever expected to win anything ever again.
Is there any reason for optimism?
Nah, I’ve seen worse.
I’d argue that we have been consistently over-optimistic for like 23 years, this year the realism just set in extra early (week 1 for me…because we should have stomped the Donkeys)
Tell me the last playoff game we won then tell me why I should be happy
