Ok here is my situation…
i managed to snag a newegg deal that includes TUF z690 plus mobo 12900k and 32gb XPG Lancer ram
I also ordered a 14700kf and they’re all in shipping right now…
I want to sell the 12900k new and just install the 14700kf immediately in the mobo…
I think the Motherboard comes with the 2703 BIOS which supports 13th gen… and my question is will the 14th gen cpu work with the Motherboard since it’s the same architecture or will i nees an older CPU first to update the BIOS?
This mobo sadly doesn’t have flashback functionality (shocking at 2023) and i will need an older cpu…
Update: The Mobo arrived, it was an old unit, latest bios update from Sep. 2022. Had to put a 13400f in it and update the bios which was a lot of hassle… I still can’t believe this Motherboard doesn’t support Qflash functionality.
anyway now I’m waiting for my 14700kf to arrive…
