I’m cross-posting theme in each, but will be basketball specific here.

Loomis is handling the basketball operations while Griffin is in place since the Benson hire. Griffin has had a really long leash on a rebuild. It’s been a half decade now and the results aren’t bright again this season so far. Certainly things can turn around, but this just feels weird with your 2 all stars not able to beat a team with only one (Fred Van Vleet). The rebuild in Houston has already shown fruits of its labor after Harden.

And before we discuss injuries, when the chef prepares a cake, whose fault is it if the ingredients are rotten? When you buy a car, whose fault is it the parts are shitty and flawed? Griffin made and packaged this mess, and he’s selling us on year 5.

Without shitting on Griffin any longer, Loomis has allowed this malaise to continue. There’s no accountability anywhere from the front office down to the players. Zion comes in out of shape? Griffin says he looks great. BI out last year with no diagnostic findings? Let him sit. Griffin gets a tough coach after firing Gentry, players hate him, then he’s fired. Griff gets another players-coach and he can’t scheme and it appears morale is shot.

All of this is occurring under the watch of Loomis. The team cannot survive with Loomis asleep at the rudder. It’s time the entire New Orleans sports scene get a fresh start at the immediate top and score some accountability.
