So I was looking ahead at the final games of each team in the AFC North and found something encouraging.
The Ravens SOR for their final 7 games is .571. That includes playing 3 teams leading their divisions in the month of December. Their four final games are against teams that are 6-3.
The Steelers SOR is .500. This gets lowered with games against New England and Arizona remaining. Cleveland needs to view next Sunday as a must win to cement their path of getting around them. Falling two games behind them including being swept by them will make catching them in the standings very difficult.
The Bengals SOR is .653. They have zero games left against teams with a record below .500. The Texans and Titans losses are going to haunt them.
The Browns SOR is .486. Remove our two divisional games and our toughest remaining games are against the Jaguars and Texans. The Jaguars looked woefully human against a team we’ve already beaten. The Texans are an absolute mystery but have shown they can beat anyone.
But moral of the post, the Browns have the easiest path now to the playoffs in the North. They need to continue to take care of business each week and fight to get that first home playoff game since ‘94.
