We should start Charbonnet over K9. Just from the eye test, the offense has performed better when Charbonnet is in running the ball. He is a better power runner and power runners are best at wearing down opposing DLine. If we saved K9 finesse and speed until after we have our run game established in the 3rd and 4th he would have more breakout runs much like last season.

Without breaking out any advanced metrics, I’d guess that one reason Charb looks better because he’s getting more work later in the games, when the defenses are a little more worn down.
Yes! This is my point, I feel like he should get in earlier to wear down the defenses first and then use K9 once the holes get more frequent in the 2nd half.
Charbonnet definitely seems like more of an every down feature back. He’s got the more wide ranging skill set and can soften up a defense.
Ken is the home run hitter, but it’s clear the power to grind out tough yards is lacking.
