#20 has been worn by 3 iconic Detroit Lions over the years, two of which are in the Hall of Fame. The number is associated to different players to different people based on their age.
What if a guy like Gibbs proves over a few seasons that he is the guy. Would fans be on board with someone new wearing #20 the way Michigan used the #1 jersey for an elite WR in the past.
I think it would be a very cool tradition for the Lions.
