I fully get the desire to have a veteran QB to lead a new young offense. Don’t get me wrong, Russ isn’t even playing bad at all this year - I have no complaints about his play. He isn’t going to lead us to the playoffs though. He has basically no trade capital either, so we’re just eating his salary.

I would really rather see new blood on the field at the moment, even if we lose. I know the Broncos have been searching for their starting QB since the Manning era which are some big shoes to fill. But it isn’t going to be Rus.
