For me, in general, I’d say the following:

-Increase the GOTY Nominations. I don’t think 6 is enough. This year was very stacked in terms of gaming, but the fact that GOTY still comes down to having 6 nominations. I feel like it should be, like, up to at least 10 nominations or something along those lines.

-Add a “Best DLC/Expansion” Category. I am surprised at the fact that this isn’t even a category yet. There are also game DLCs and expansions that released this year.

    I’m not a fan of award shows, I’d rather celebrate all the excellence of the year than waste time arguing over the absolute best. So I’d rather it be a recap gushing about all the software. Discuss new and awesome mechanics. New techniques and technology in the gaming industry. I don’t care who wins game of the year, because all the nominees (and the snubs) deserve it. It’s arbitrary and of little importance to me. I guess to summarize; I’d change the whole damn thing, removing awards entirely, and just celebrate gaming.
