It’s still the easier half, in fact you can’t say it’s CL quality, all three teams are EL level at best

I’ll be in Newcastle the weekend we play there but got no tickets

Is it even possible to get in the stadium in the days of personalized tickets?

Like is it possible buying a ticket in front of the stadium or on ticket reselling websites and then getting access with a ticket that doesn’t match my ID?

    Thx for your help

How many changes would you make for Sheffield? It’s not going to be easy, no game is but it’s a game where I think we can definitely afford to rotate.

All the Newcastle United posts, tifos, commentary that use the whole “howay the lads” and “cans” sayings are so dead.

You’ve sold your dignity. You don’t get to be the likeable, ‘propa northern english’ underdog club anymore. You’re a Saudi owned super club now, you get to win lots of games, that’s the trade you make. The whole Geordie aesthetic is just hollow now.

At least Chelsea was a fitting club and area of London to be taken over by a Russian oligarch. They were already villains, and owned it.

Fuck Newcastle. Just another soulless pack of cunts.

That video that went round of the old guy who’d supported them for decades who protested at a pre season game, getting shouted at by teenagers who only know this was grim.

Football will die if this is form of ownership allowed to continue

Odegaard and Saka are both struggling a bit as that’s the side that the opposition crowd, specifically to hinder them.

The difference between this and last season is that our left side is disjointed still, so there’s no real outlet there in the old Xhaka position for the opposition to care too much about.

I’d like to see Odegaard drift a bit more across that area of the pitch between left and right to cause a bit of confusion and open the space up a bit more.

Maybe things will change if we’re able to consistently put out the front three we want to as Eddie doesn’t move about anywhere near as much as Jesus

I think more of a issue with the right side is Partey not playing in midfield.

He tends to pass to the right in-between lines whereas jorginho is more sideways and rice more to the left.

Possibly, but that’ll also be instruction as well. Potentially dictated by the congestion and what Arteta might see as an over reliance on that right side.

When White was out or in the middle with another right back, we couldn’t get things together down that side and everything else wasn’t up to the standard either, so maybe Arteta is putting more focus on the left to help counter that

Very very happy that dortmund killed the Newcastle hype train last night. Toons will be looking over their shoulder to their away trip to Germany; that’s the week after we face them so they might approach the game with us much more cautiously

This was posted a few weeks ago but name an Emirates era player who was absolutely bang average, not terrible but also nothing special.

One for each of the 4 categories

    Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfield and Forward

I’m not really sure what Artetas plans are with Rice. Does he see him as a 6, LCM, progressive 8? The main reason it’s confusing is also the players he’d want to bring into the club to play alongside Rice in midfield, like Zubimendi or Tchouameni. Both of them are deep lying and ball carying DM’s. That leaves Rice as the 8.

Ramsdale hasnt heen treated any more or less fair than Leno was when he couldnt get off the bench during Ramsdale’s period of poor form.

Whether you think either situation was handled correctly isnt really my point, but rather that he’s been on a good and bad side of the coin.

I’ll never forget when people here were actually afraid of Rangnick when he went on an unbeaten streak

If De Gea re signs for Utd he’s an idiot.

Also, would be very very curious to see if the same GK narrative pushed on us would be directed towards them? In particular from Neville…

You’d wish, but it not a conversion that will happen. Onano is their undisputed no.1. Maybe their new Turkish keeper is good, but will he ever get a chance to play first team games in the epl for a long run?

I’m unsure of what kind of rotation to expect against Sheffield United. In light of the home leg against Sevilla, this feels like as good an opportunity as any to spread some game time around. Trossard, Partey, Havertz, Vieira, Kiwior, ESR and Reiss stand out as guys who are in need of some game time but, outside of early Cup rounds, Arteta hasn’t really rotated teams that heavily in the league. I can see Trossard, Partey, and Havertz starting.
