Saw a post today about a girl being a “pet psychic” who is apparently super successful. Wondered what other examples are out there.

Concealed carry (self defense) “insurance”. For a monthly fee, they claim to pay the legal defense costs for gun owners who use their weapons in self-defense or home-defense situations. There are a bunch of these companies out there: USCCA, USA Law Shield, CCW Safe, etc.
Personally I think it’s a scam. It’s difficult to find examples where these companies actually paid for the legal defense for a client. They all have clauses in their agreements that allow them to drop a customer for various reasons, the big one being if they determine a specific use of a firearm to be illegal in any way. If you know anything about gun laws in the US, you know they form a huge complex legal patchwork that changes constantly, and are easy to run afoul of.
You all might remember Alan Colie, the delivery driver who shot the YouTube prankster Tanner Cook (of the “Classified Goons” channel) in Dulles Town Center Mall. He was a member of USCCA at the time of the shooting, and USCCA dropped him. He ended up with a public defender, and was ultimately acquitted by a jury.
