Looks fine to me, a lot of dealerships are looking to get money since everyone has realized that they aren’t going to buy at 10% interest rates

When I do my maintenances at the dealer, I NEVER do their suggested services at that time. The only things I do there are things I know are coming up or I know the cost is fair overall. Anything they suggest, I tell them I’ll schedule later and do my own due diligence.

I had a Honda dealership quote me $980 for a starter for a 2013 accord. The authentic part cost $240. I bought it online from Honda, undid the 2 bolts and changed it myself. Fuck dealerships.

That would be a good picture to post on your review.

ALWAYS ask if any recommended services are things they actually checked or are they just recommending them based on mileage. They almost always they’ll say mileage and if they do say checked and then you find out they lied, you hound and embarrass them and they’ll usually cave and give you free shit to make the issue go away.

Literally had my mechanic do my front brakes a couple weeks before I went into the dealership for an oil change I negotiated before buying the car. Recommended services came back as front brakes in the yellow soon (needing to replace… even though it actually means you replace soon). I asked them about the check or mileage and the service advisor said check and then I told him I just had the front brakes done so I’d like to speak to the tech who saw my brakes because I’m about to have a huge problem with you guys or my mechanic. They coughed it up to a misunderstanding between the advisor and the tech and it was a mileage recommendation, not a check. Even though every dealership give you a 2700 point inspection, the vast majority is just scare tactics and mileage based lies to get you do give them money.

I hope you tag the dealership with this picture. Put it in their Google reviews on Google maps.

If Toyota sends you a survey, make sure to tell them about this too. They hate anything that makes them look bad and they can penalize the dealership.

Probably the same one that tried to get my girlfriend to book a “brake cleaning” on my Corolla at 30,000 km lol
