In the past year I’ve tried many™ games on steam deck and while a lot of those where actually playable and ejoyable there were some that looked like they were so well tailored for the steam deck that I wouldn’t even consider playing those on my desktop.
So, also as a way to escape the drama running around these days, I wanted to share with you these indie/little games that I discovered. Also feel free to share your “little gems” in the comment!
- Rogue Heroes Ruins of Tasos: This games is actually incredible… It’s like “the legend of zelds meets the binding of isac” and the controls are awesome on steam deck also thanks to the camera view (top down).

- Temtem: this is a pokemon clone and as long time pokemon player I can’t imagine playing a proper “clone” on a console which is not handheld… That being said the game is very cool and perfect on steam deck

- Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms: ok this is… An idle game… Honestly I never liked “idle games” but since on steam deck you can actually run multiple games at the same time (like you would on you pc) and you can bring it outside… Well I gave it a chance and it clicked for me!

- Super Animal Royale: this… Is not your usual battle royale… In the sense that you are just a cute animal… Murdering other cute animals… But it works very well!

- Karmazoo: this is the last game I tried (beta) and comes out tomorrow. This game works so well on steam deck that I actually think I’m not even trying to install it on my pc. It’s also a very fun and wholesome game.
