Sarper’s parents have never met a single one of his girlfriends, and he’s almost fifty years old, dating an alonat forty-five year old, yet they were convinced that they were getting grandchildren? What? When? How? I would’ve expected that they would have long given up on that.
Also, how is Sarper gonna go on about how responsible he intends to be when he ditched every chance he had to be a father to his first child for twenty five years?
Also also: why would you never have bright this up before, if it mattered so much to you?
The way Sarper keeps talking about how Shekinah is "the one " and all his other conquests, I think he expects she should be super grateful he’s with her. And therefore should be happy and excited to give him a child if that’s what he wants because after all, he’s deigning to be with her!
And his parents seem to be feeding right into it. When his Mother said a woman should make the sacrifice to give her husband a baby even if she doesn’t want to, it was sickening. That attitude is so wrong, and Shekinah needs understand the culture she is dealing with. It sounds like the man is always right no matter what, and these women who marry into these cultures expecting to change them are so naive. Sarper decided he wants a child, she should give him one. Simple as that
Make it make sense.
