Here’s where I’m coming from…
AOC is doing great. His numbers are right there with the top of the league after three starts. He’s new and will need time to develop, of course…. but he showed he can hang with a top three defense.
Benefits here, he’s cheap. We have a great rookie contract to spend cap money elsewhere to build up the team around him. Bolster the OLine, pump up the defense, this is the way.
He almost threw the game away with a pick 6 at the end of the last game, and his numbers are not very good. He’s not turning the ball over, but he’s not doing a great job of moving the ball either over the course of his 3 games. He’s got 7 more to make the case, but so far he sure looks like a 4th rounder who has been forced into the starting role to me.
