Do not pursue Deshaun Watson in 2022 Free Agency…

Keep Matt Ryan for the remainder of his contract (We were paying him anyways).

Draft Desmond Ridder to be mentored by Matt Ryan…

That way we would have been at least a bit more competitive in 2022 and developing a potential successor at the same time…

Don’t try to tell me that Ridder benefitted at all from being “mentored” by Mariota…

Again, completely hypothetical as other variables would also be in affect…

I just feel that if this were a realistic possibility we would have been better off…

i would have drafted Ridder, brought him to Flowery Branch immediately, and locked him in a room with nothing but a cot, a toilet, a TV, a PS2 and a copy of NFL QB Club 2002 until the season started, but that’s just me

Dude RIDDER AINT IT! Enough, dude has shown he isn’t a starter in the NFL. Time to draft a QB.

You are completely missing the point here…

In no way does this guarantee that Ridder would have been a starter or franchise QB…

This is simply a situation that would have potentially changed the trajectory of not only Desmond Ridder, but also the team in general…

In no way did I GUARANTEE that Ridder would have been the surefire starter in this situation…

The key word here is POTENTIAL…

I didn’t ask anyone if they think Ridder ain’t it…

You can have Ridder be trained by god himself and he will be exactly who he is today. Ridder is who he is. Being “mentored” by Matt Ryan doesn’t mean anything. His potential is a backup. That was his potential which is why he was drafted in the third round.
