I wasn’t following football yet when the Texans joined the league and realignment happened, but it really bothered me when I was young that we were in the South despite being further north than some teams in the North. Always thought the Dolphins should’ve went to the South, Ravens to the East, and us to the North. Were colts fans upset when it happened? How did they even make that decision?

Obviously enough time has passed where it doesn’t really matter at this point, but it’s fun to think of all the butterfly effect scenarios if realignment goes different. Colts stay in the East and we get Manning/Luck and Brady playing twice a year? Colts move to the North and develop a big time rivalry with Cincinnati? No Manning in the South and Steve McNair dominates the division?

Honestly, I was pretty tired of the Dolpins fans coming in and taking over the stadium. The JETS were always dead boring and we would have 9 to 6 or 12 to 9 hard to watch then. The Pats were the same, but the Bills were the team to beat. I remember when Jimmy hired away Polian from Buffalo, we had a great rivalry.

I have very little hate in my heart for the AFC South, The Jags are some of the young scrappy type now, always down and always fighting. The Titans are just 1 dimensional, Texans are making some noise, but who cares about them?
