From looking at the worse NBA records of all time, we might have a shot at breaking the 73 Philadelphia 76ers record of 9-73. We’re on current pace to finish with a tie with the 24th worst record of 16-66. However if we tank harder, we can achieve the impossible. Where do you think we will finish in terms of W-L for this season?
If we didn’t implode in late game situations this year (which is fine by me) we’d be 5-5 right now. Eventually this group will figure something out and win some of those games. Growth from the young guys. Chemistry/cohesion. Ideally we will see that growth turn into a few wins and then trade some of the better vets at the trade deadline to keep the tank going while feeling somewhat good about ourselves. But you never know what will happen. We might take a flier on an underperforming big like the pistons did with Bagley and get some interior presence to help gaff and accidentally win a few. Point is we have no idea.
