I have a small hair salon business in Seattle. The last 2 months we have been receiving multiple daily calls from all over the country, wanting to schedule, but they think they are calling a local salon in their state/city. Very weird! The callers are clicking on the call button (from many web search engines: Google, next door, yelp and basic searches such as “near me”) and the call links them to my salon. They are confused that the call is routing them to my salon in Seattle, and we are confused. My carrier is Verizon and have emailed/called and they do t know. I advertise on Google. No chance connecting with a human from Google anymore and the email responses I have received are a joke. “Make sure your listing number is correct” “Hope this helps”. Yeah, thanks Google support, it has not.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Does anyone know how the heck I fix this?

I mean, it is not the worst thing to happen, but constantly answering the phone and explaining to the customer on the other and that we are in Seattle is getting old, and daunting. I would be be you appreciative to get the fix!

Unfortunately, this is not the case for us. This is happening during the daytime hours when we are open and busy. This perspective colors don’t even want to call us one in Seattle Washington. They want to call in their own city, which is not even in Washington state. No one can figure it out. It is so strange.

I am still getting calls from our own clients that called to schedule with us. Its just that we are getting calls from ALL OVER.

For instance, it would be like you wanted to call your aunt Mary and in your contacts on your phone you click on Mary, but then it directly routed you to your dad. I hope that makes sense. It’s so weird.
