It’s football. Why should I care if they win ugly?

Other teams are trying to win too, likely more so when they’re playing the Steelers.

I look at it like they’re playing playoff football in November. Low scoring, grind it out, last second games that they are winning.

Expect it to get even uglier. It’s going to get cold. It’s going to get messy. Points are going to be even harder to come by. Best get the team used to it now.

This team has an identity. They’re a puncher. They’re not a bruiser. They’re not a pugilist. They’re a puncher. They can take a beating, stand there and take the punishment, and then they can land those couple blows that puts an opponent in the L category.

I’m totally fine with that being Pittsburgh Steelers Football. If I wanted to watch something graceful I can watch ballet or the Ice Capades (do they still exist) or something like that. An opera.

I’m certainly not going to whine about a win. I look at the standings in the AFC and when I hear this isn’t sustainable, I agree, it’s not sustainable, it’s achievable.

Who exactly is elite in the AFC? Every team is beatable. It’s as tough as I’ve ever seen the conference and division, but that also means nobody is running away with it.

But it’s not a sustainable way to win games. That’s why it should matter. Remember 2020?

And honestly this year my top goal is to just win a playoff game. Which I think we could do if we draw the right matchup (ie NOT the chiefs or dolphins). But, need to get there first.
