Lamar only attempted 23 passes against the Browns. Lamar‘s role felt like it was reduced to just being a game manager while the Ravens relied heavily on the run game. You give him a huge contract, build an offensive scheme around his skill set, and surround him with new receiver talent just to take the ball out of his hands as a passer. Many will point to the Ravens having a double digit lead as to why Lamar didn’t get to pass the ball more. That mentality of trying not to lose and not being aggressive has continued to fail the Ravens time and time again. I might be alone in this thought process but I believe one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league should be throwing the ball more.
