All I got to say is, if Clint Capela is your starting center in 2023 then you ain’t ready to compete and to you ain’t serious about winning. OO isn’t a starting caliber center until he fixes his foul trouble and works on his rebounding. We’ve lacked paint presence on both ends of the floor for the past season or two. I know it’s just the first game but we already been knew about Capela and OO’s downside. Something’s got to change fr. And yeah, JJ should be a starter going forward.

The real chatter plain and simple is dudes have to make their shots. Trae and DJM can’t be that inefficient together. Was really hoping Snyder would be able to help Hunter and AJ develop more but they honestly both look the exact same as last year. Idk it’s only game 1 but it’s hard to feel excited when the exact same flaws as last year are very present on this team.

Our guards are the reason we lost this. Relax

I actually like CC’s bully ball yesterday. And OO is still not able to play 30 minutes due to foul trouble….

Regardless, our two highest paid players lost this game for us. Love Trae, but he took some overly contested shots yesterday. Really need Bogi involved when he is on the floor.

In this league, you won’t win when you have 3 ducking 3’s made with 6 minutes left in the game. And while I love the chaos Trae creates on offense, for us to be elite, we need him to have a stat line similar to 2020-2021 season: 17 shots per game, 24-25 ppg while leading the NBA in assists. This, with his improved defense will get us places.

smdh, it literally doesn’t matter who starts. OO will close more games and probably play more if he can get the fouls in check. It’s insanely good to have 48 minutes of center play of which both are at least top 20 in the league.
