There are more cases of quarterbacks early in their career who are god-awful who turn out to be hall of famers than there are CJ Strouds. So it’s just a matter of having patience.
A lot of success comes from playing with the same guys for a long time.
There have been stories told of both Brady and Rodgers where they’d ask to run a play from years ago, that featured the receiver they wanted. In Brady’s case he was calling to go to Edelman from a play >3 years in the past that the team used once, unsuccessfully. It worked and they scored a touchdown.
Playing together, for a long time, helps. Chemistry can’t be understated. We just need to give it time.
We’ve got young receivers who are still out there running wrong routes and a young QB who hasn’t seen the nuances of NFL defenses for a full season. I expect a huge jump next year.
