like they tell me to play like 100+ hours of unranked matches ( understandable ig? ) then in the match ill get like grandmasters and masters against a person who is looking up online what is quick cast like shouldnt be scaling match the player skill like it just makes a new comer feel like thats just weird and not fun getting 1 tapped by every single auto attack by the characters i dont even know the skills that i should be worried about.

ill get like grandmasters and masters

tbh I doubt there’s much of a difference between a gold and grandmaster player in the eyes of a pre-lv30 player

Dota is even less beginner friendly and for what it’s worth, if you’re annoyed by complexicity like I am I don’t recommend starting to play this game at all because you’re gonna get far more mad than having fun. Talking from 7 years experience.

There’s over 150 champs with unnecessarly complicated abilities or hidden effects where of many you only understand what they really do or even exist when you read them. You must learn them all to understand what is even going on.

The game is mainly decided by laning phase where the higher you climb the more boring it gets. In high elo it’s far more about denying farm than killing. You’ll be fighting for like 10 seconds in 10 minutes of standing around.

Most people play this game with the hope of satisfying highlights in their head and not because they actually have fun.

So what I’m saying is that the more you dive into this game the less fun it gets. Meaning if you’re already not having fun, I don’t recommend diving deeper. Unless you have friends to regulary play with then it can be fun.
