Before WatchOS 10.1, there was a feature of double tap to dismiss the notification which used to appear as soon as you receive a notification on the watch. Not sure if it was limited to only S9 but it did use to work before watchOs 10.1 ( I think on 10.0.1? or 10.0) . Now to achieve this double tap to dismiss notification, it requires 3 extra steps using the new double tap feature.

It stopped working after updating the watch, it wasn’t related to assistive touch I believe. Does anyone have any idea if that gesture can be achieved again?

Did you have a beta or release candidate of 10.1 before? Double tap is a 10.1 feature only.

The stable one, i believe it was the RC one only. It was double tap only, there was a popup everytime a new notification comes and I view it at the same time. The popup used to say “double tap, next line dismiss”

double tap register way better than it did with assistive touch… but it works in only a handful of situations… youtube music doesn’t work, for some reason you scrol notifications instead of dismissing then… you can’t clear notifications… i hope at some point we will be able to customize what it does in each apps…

That’s my point too, the quick options double tap used to dismiss notifications in one tap while with the new double tap in S9 the notification starts scrolling and it takes 3 double taps to reach the option at the end of notification.

Let’s hope they add a customisation for this in later updates.
