I played around on the test server yesterday, specifically the new map run mode and I will argue that it is world’s better than t-hunt ever was. T-hunt was outdated and only allowed you to play as attackers, so if you wanted to play around with different guns on defense you just couldn’t unless you did the other modes which weren’t great. And you can also end up clearing the map 3 times only to find out the last one was outside somewhere. While the dummies don’t move in map run, they’re placed deliberately in places defenders would actually be. They can be reactive or non reactive depending on what you want as a warm up. You can also press a button to ping thr dummies if you’re learning a new map and don’t know where an area is, so it’s easier for new players to get a grasp of the game. Overall I think it’ll be more beneficial for new and veteran players to warmup on.

The defender ai is also pretty fun, I just hope the AI actually gets better over time

Only Elimination T-Hunt was used by players who were looking for a warm up and for them Map run is a good replacement.

However, Bomb Defusal and Protect Hostage modes are real challanges to complete on Realistic Lone Wolf. The new modes don’t provide a replacement for them and they also don’t have the same type of challange and difficulty. Just as you said, the target dummys don’t move around and the Defender AI playlist only have 5 guys instead of 30.

The T-hunt issues you listed are all true, but the reason why those issues exist in the first place is because Ubiosft couldn’t give a shit to update the mode. When playing Protect Hostage 3 or more terrorists tend to get stuck somewhere on the map. This wouldn’t be an issue if the round had a timer but it’s been displaying the infinity symbol since launch.

My point is that T-hunt wasn’t only an Aim trainer. Most people who complain about it’s removal were not playing it because of aim training. Try completing a Protect the Hostage mode on Lone Wolf realistic, you will feel so much joy after you overcome that ridiculously hard challange.
