In no particular order:
-
Gafford…6 pts, 5 boards, 5 fouls. Have been desperately wanting him to become a legit big man since the day we acquired him, because he has so many awesome highlight reel plays. But this is his 25 year old season, performances like this are unacceptable.
-
Poole 0-6 from 3 point range, woof. Outside of that, had some impressive drives and had 5 assists, but obviously we’re expecting more. Also from an amateur naked eye, his defense seems as bad as advertised.
-
Tyus Jones, awesome 1st quarter, not much after but 16 pts, 6 ast, 2 turnovers while shooting above 50% from the field and 3pt range is a very nice line.
-
Deni, 9,7 and 5. Will he eventually become a triple double guy? Seemed to be more assertive than last year but still had some reckless plays. Hoping for more from him, but there are signs.
-
Coulibaly, made a shot from distance and had 3 blocks and 3 assists. The fact that he is getting early playing time is encouraging enough but those stats show he has a well rounded game, he won’t just be a defensive guy. Very encouraging for his age
-
Kuzma, pretty much no stats besides points…weird. Get back to hitting the boards please
-
Kispert clearly needs to be on the floor with playmakers who can create open shots for him, he’d be in the starting lineup if it were up to me, but his defense is probably the reason WUJ won’t do it
-
Gallinari is gonna provide some fun, if he’s gonna be consistently playing the 5, we’re gonna get absolutely murdered in rebounding, which seems inevitable at this point based on the existing roster
-
Please give Patrick Baldwin Jr more minutes, thank you
Edit: oh how could I forget, another year of this broadcasting crew…I’m assuming Ted is just doing this to save money but my god, another year of Drew Gooden, I can’t believe it. The decades of Buck and Phil set a high standard but I’ve gotta assume this is one of the worst broadcasts in the NBA.
