Its me, the goofy guy that deleted /local out of pure stupidity

Im trying to reinstall steamOS and after following the guide that Valve gives for the recovery i found myself for more than 15 minutes at the booting screen.

Does the menu for recovery take usually that long? does the type of usb(2.0) has anything to do with the loading time?
