Is it only in my realm or everyone else has this problem?

Mobs just keep spawning at Y level 40 or less in the deep dark!!! It’s sooo annoying that it killed us maaaany times😭😭

Is there a fix or something like that? Cuz I really need that new shiny trim at the ancient city but afraid of the stupidity of the game.
