Car title issue

I recently bought a 2008 Honda accord with a clean title, I have checked NCIB, car fax, auto checker, NHTSA, etc. everywhere the title comes back as clean but when I went to the dmv a week ago they said it was salvaged and needed inspection, could that have been a mistake or is there something else going on here?
