I’ve seen a lot of people calling the Broncos extremely lucky to get an extra attempt at the game ending field goal. While I agree we are lucky, I believe many are undervaluing the decision to rush the field goal team out there. Catching the defense unprepared was great strategic decision. The miss was unfortunate, but our strategy pulled through. It is refreshing to see this level of coaching late in the game.

We had enough bad luck (PAT that doinked the left upright and botched snap on the other PAT) in the game to warrant a little good luck…

There were several sequences of events that came together to allow the Broncos to be in the position to execute that play. I appreciate the fact that they clearly have practiced it more than once and executed it to perfection. All the luck that got us to that point though… that was what won the game.

Not just late in the game, but at the half, too! It really is a testament to SP’s level of coaching to pull that off. The discipline and buy in from the players is evident.

The rushed FG was luck. Lutz was horrible that game, and I had a feeling he was gonna screw it up. The rush was 100% to run the clock out and nothing more. It wasn’t some great wax on wax off stunt. Lutz needs to go plain and simple. Dudes a nightmare.

Buffalo lost that game more than we won it. 4 turnovers and of course that horrendous defensive stand on the last drive. Don’t get me wrong, Russ made some big, big plays, and our Defense is back to being STOUT instead of Swiss cheese, but 2 missed XP, a shank to win and getting a re do is incredible luck and I’ll take it

It could be a legit strategy going forward under the two minutes. If it works and you get a penalty that might result in a first down so you have a chance at 7 instead of 3. If there’s no penalty then you still get three points
