Hi, I’ve been eyeing the Framework laptops for a while now and with the release of the 16 its only made my decision making harder. I’m revamping my setup soon and not long after I plan on switching to a mobile/desktop setup. This means dual external monitors connected via dock to the laptop.
I already have the monitors, two 1080p 24" displays with HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2 at 75hz and this machine is going to be running Linux and not seeing any gaming action whatsoever.
**My question is to anyone running multiple displays:**
The 13 has TB via Intel and the 16 doesn’t but has the more comfortable internal display. For my desk setup should I worry about TB or is the USB-C on the 16 capable of handling both monitors on either HDMI or DP?
Thanks in advance :)
Edit: I changed my body but forgot to change the title. I know it has barely anything to do with the question please ignore it :(
I’ve actually decided to go with the 16 since it gives me graphical expandability and to be completely honest I’m kind of tired of doing my dev work on such a small 13 inch screen, currently. Plus the extra expansion slots and I love my numpad. The benefits of the 16 functionally outweigh the portability of the 13 for me.
