I’m trying to hype myself up and let myself know it’s OK to make a trade where I’m definitely Overpaying.

So I’m asking anyone who has done this: was your situation, and did it work out for you?

If the nest result is it makes your team better then there’s an argument to be made that value is relative. If you can get a new starter by ditching your bench player(s) then who cares if you overpaid?

If it makes your team better, it’s not an overpay

If it makes your starting roster better, it’s not an overpay at this point.

Just traded Gabe Davis for Browns DST. My other WRs are CD, Pittman, Diontae, Hollywood and Tank. I also have the Jets DST

Maybe I overpaid but I’m 7-3 in 2nd place and need to fortify for the playoff stretch. Plus the way our DST scoring is setup, the Browns avg 25 pts per game.

I just traded Brian Robinson and Amari Cooper for CeeDee Lamb. My WR depth is Hill, Diggs, Dotson Diontae, & Higgins. And my RB depth now is Stevenson, R. White, K. Mitchell, Spears, Hubbard, and K Williams in my IR. So it gave him needed now depth of potential weekly top 10 fantasy scorers at their position, and allowed me to make room in my roster for Kyren without dropping anyone.

Depends by how much. If you’re dumping Derrick Henry for Pacheco just cause you’re a Chiefs fan you may need to be checked on

I gave up Waddle for Garrett after Rodgers went down just cause I really like GW… and so far I don’t regret it that much.

Get your guys brother. Having players you want makes fantasy more enjoyable, even if you lose. I don’t recommend doing it in big money leagues though

Week 6 I sent Lamar, Bijan and Cook for Stroud and Ekeler. I knew Stroud was semi special; I just didn’t know he would be THIS good THIS fast. I also knew Ekeler is the anti-Bijan/Cook in that I can almost count on him for an 18+ point outing each week.

Bijan finally showed signs of life and Cook now has a new OC so we’ll see if his usage improves. Lamar 3 straight meh games. He should do better going forward

Overall, I would do the trade again. People say I got fleeced but it doesn’t look so lopsided now, especially if Stroud is a consistent 20+ point per game QB going forward.

Just made a huge overpay for AJB last night, but it was all depth that could start on the other guys team.

Puka, Pollard, Engram, DHop, Geno for AJB.

Puka is getting replaced, Pollard can get off my team so I don’t feel the need to start him, Engram has been benched for Ferg since his bye, DHop is depth, Geno is my backup.
