Ive seen many courses and tier list around support heroes and they dont put abaddon in there. When i play with him it feels like a good support with sup build. Then why so underrated that it didnt even made d tier like he dosent exist at all as a support. Im talkin about both pos 4 & 5.

I think its because of the meta, abaddon is a supp that is meh in lane and have no mid game presence, his saves are not that great compared to the other heroes and he doesnt sets up, he is also a melee which in a supps case will put him in a disadvantage cos he can get kited around easily. rn the meta is not for him but im sure a day will come

I think Abaddon is a perfectly viable support in certain cases, these usually are:

    • There is enough stun / catch in the team. Given this SK CK meta you very often have a stun on your lane. If the other support has a decent stun you might be fine.
    • He can make dangerous core heros more dangerous with his support. What i mean is that he allows farmed core heros who just want to hit the enemy, to simply do that without being too much cc’d. Eg Spectre, SK, CK.

    Some notes:

    • With pavise and upgraded wand you can protect even weak supports from being bursted.
    • with Agha you can stop your team from dying its rediculous
    • Yes you are a weak laner, but with a core that is able to deal damage and against laners who can be countered with a dispel you are great eg vs silencer ogre veno shaman jakiro
    • dotabuff says above 52% winrate which tells you the hero is viable.
