Previously it was Muscala and Al with 27. They simply never had that lever of a scorer to run pick and roll with. I’d argue that was half the cause of ourbl deficient late game playmaking. Having guys that allow you to make different plays is just as important as the playmaker.

It’ll be interesting to see how KP works against the Heat zone and switching tomorrow. That’s what killed the Celtics last 2 playoffs and it’s why they went out and got him.

    That was a record by a new Celtic debut according to the broadcast, ahead of Dom Wilkins, and ahead of the likes of Bird, McHale and Parish.

    KP’s gravity as a shooter is going to take the Celtics offense to a different level and gives them a dimension they simply haven’t had and he has the midrange ability to find soft spots in a matchup zone…but it’s also his defense, the rim protection, he’s good for a jump shot block or two a week too, that went unmentioned too often regarding his addition to the Celtics. He’s a much more impactful rim protector than he gets credit for.
